Daniel Sheridan

Clarinetist Daniel Sheridan enjoys a multifaceted career as a solo recitalist, orchestral and chamber musician, conductor, music educator. He completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in May 2003 at The State University of New York at Stony Brook where he studied with Alan Kay and Daniel Gilbert.

A native of Houston, Texas, he started the clarinet at age eleven. In 1994 he graduated from Oklahoma State University and in 1998 received a Master's degree in clarinet performance from the University of Akron. Previous teachers have included Babette Belter at Oklahoma State University and Håkan Rosengren at The University of Akron.

As a solo recitalist, he has presented performances and masterclasses across the Midwest and Northeast, and in July 2008 performed at The International Clarinet Association's ClarinetFest in Kansas City, Missouri.
