Chicago Clarinet Ensemble
The Chicago Clarinet Ensemble was founded by Rose Sperrazza, clarinet professor at Northeastern Illinois University. Ranging in size from 2 - 35 or more players, the ensemble has appeared at the Chicago Humanities Festival, Looptopia Chicago, in numerous broadcasts on Chicago's WFMT, and in many outreach concerts in the Chicago area. CCE's impressive roster includes a dynamic collaboration of Chicago's finest clarinetists. The ensemble's unique focus on mentoring provides opportunities for talented young students to perform with established professionals. Since it's inception in 2007, the Chicago Clarinet Ensemble has featured world renowned clarinetists such as John Bruce Yeh, Larry Combs, Anthony McGill, Charlene Zimmerman, Lawrie Bloom, and Steve Cohen. In their upcoming May 27th concert at Northeastern Illinois University, the ensemble will join forces with Stanley and Naomi Drucker and John Bruce Yeh. Personnel for this performance is Christie Miller (Eb), Rose Sperrazza (Bb), Miguel Hernandez (Bb), and David Tuttle (bass). Sperrazza and Tuttle are Vandoren performing artists.
